Stephanie Jalaba

Stephanie Jalaba is a physician assistant and assistant professor at the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine PA Program. Stephanie is a native of the state of Michigan and has also spent several years in Arizona. She attended Michigan State University (go green!) as an undergraduate student where she studied Kinesiology and Spanish. She attended PA school at Midwestern University in Arizona. After PA school, she completed a 12-month post-graduate fellowship in Hospital Internal Medicine at Mayo Clinic Arizona and continued to practice in hospital medicine and serve as an adjunct faculty member at Midwestern University. In 2020, she took a role as an inaugural faculty member at a developing PA program and has helped to create the program, which started its first cohort 2021. She has been involved in national PA education, having served as a member and chair of the AAPA’s Commission on Continuing Professional Development and Education for 5 years. She currently serves on the Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences Alumni Board of Directors. She also enjoys giving many national and regional lectures on various clinical and educational topics. Stephanie serves as her program’s Community Outreach and DEI Coordinator and Admissions Chair and is actively engaged in helping to diversify the PA profession.
